    Here's my situation...

    Placement of minefields. Since this became an option with the 1.2 patch I located a minefield in the entrance to the Firth of Forth Harbor which our SUBS members had to negotiate to get to the anchored vessels. It all worked fine, navigation throuigh the minefield was possible using the periscope.

    Since then I had reason to install the Real Uboat 1.2 mod but owing to incompatability during online play for those with/without mods, I chose to uninstall the mod & in fact the entire SHIII game. I did a fresh installation from scratch then patched up to 1.1 then 1.2.

    Here's my problem...

    I can't seem to place the minefields anymore!?!
    I've double checked the properties to confirm the input such as min.max depth, time of entry etc is all there & it is np... try the mission & can no longer see any mines!?

    Maybe someone can enlighten me, are any of you noticing the same problem or is it just me?
    (Yeah I know probably me)

    OK, it's me again...

    Like I said, I now have a clean version of SHIII patched up to version 1.3 with no mods at all...

    So how come I can't place a minefield?

    I've dragged it to it's location, set the details such as Random Area Radius, min/max height, density etc as I've succesfully done in the past but to no evail.

    So surely someone else out there is able to place minefields or not...

    Dev Team, how about it Guys, are you still able to place a functioning minefield?

    And while we're at it, whats the secret to placing the anti sub net? I've yet to be able to acheive that!

    C'mon now...surely someone knows something here?

    S` Dev Team,

    I've no doubt you're all very busy right now.
    All I ask is that you let me know if the minefield & antisubmarine net options are functional in the full mission builder.
    That is, are they able to be placed in the current version of 1.3? I once was able to locate a minefield in vers 1.2 & it all worked fine. Since then & after a fresh & total uninstall/reinstall including 1.1, 1.2 & then 1.3 I've not been able to place this minefield.
    I am not using any mods whatsoever.

    Have you set waypoints for the minefield?

    The patches include the previous ones, you don't have to install each one of them.

    Hello Lovo

    Thx for your input.

    As to my addressing the Dev Team... anythings worth a try I say, especially when we're anxiously seeking answers, you just never know... (if theres a chance that even a member of a gaming Dev Team might also play). I have already previously addressed the community.

    I've tried setting the minefield with & without the waypoints... no go.

    Thx for the info re not having to install each one of the patches...too late, already done! I'll keep it in mind in case I re-install again though.

    So then, any more helpful suggestions from the SHIII Community at all?

    Well then, it looks like I had overlooked one small item when placing the mines...
    After setting the waypoint, I neglected to re-stablish (had already set a radius of coverage using the minefield properties) the radius using the waypoint properties...Sheeesh!

    What a drawn out process!
    Anyway, live & learn.
    So thx again Lovo, you aimed me in the right direction at least.
