In one of the new videos, Neko says that it'll be 4 player co-op via online, LAN, split-screen and a combination of all of them, and also 24 player online.
I'm quite glad it isn't any more than that, otherwise lag really does take hold.

24 is plenty, but I think splitscreen is limited to 2 player, unless it's over LAN, in which case you can probably get 4 players over two machines...
I hope there's a Hard mode going in for co-op... wait, what am I saying? This is FRD right? lol
thats freakin awesome!![]()
24 is good enough, i dont think more would lag though but its more that i like it when its not to much. to many people speaking and stuf.
It depends on what modes they're offering. I'd heard mention in one of the videos or interviews that Haze would feature a more tactical mode- I'm guessing a beefed-up version of TS2/TS:FP's Assault mode- which might be better-served by 32.

my experience with tactical modes and 16 vs 16 or more is that almost all players go theyre own way and theres no team play, no certain strategie discussed and stuf. but if its like 8 vs 8 that theres more listening to eachother and theres more teamplay.( this is with random teams, not clan wars etc.)
this is how i experience it.
Don't use Battlefield as a reference- it does a poor job of reinforcing the need to team play. If the game's design does a good job of fomenting teamplay, it won't matter how many players are on a team.
