I own this game for the PS3 and HOP as well. I have played every console ww2 flying game and when I first played HOP I fell in love with it. So it is baffling to me why there are so many people trashing the game. Usually it is either someone who a) doesn't have a good enough cpu or b) sucks at the game.

I played PC games for years, and aside from online MMORPG style games, games belong on consoles only. Whenever you buy a new game for a PC, they are typically created for none but the newest computers. Whereas PS3 games take all of the variables out of the equation, if you buy a PS3 game, and you have a PS3, you know beyond any doubt that it will run smoothly, because it was made for that hardware alone. Just think of the deviation in processor speeds, RAM, video RAM, Cache Bus, etc. It makes the task of creating a game for the PC a nightmare. Should the game companies gear the game towards old computers, or new computers? The bottom line for a company is to make money, so they want to push the envelope with each new game.

I used to play a lot of PC games, and it seemed that everytime I bought a new game, I had to upgrade something just to play.

As for the people who are commenting about parts of the game being absolutely impossible, sorry to say, but you just suck at the game. I don't play video games but maybe an hour a week, and I don't consider myself extremely talented with VG's, I am good at some and suck at others. I have beaten every mission on Ace, including all the bonuses, also have 5 missions with 100% accuracy. ONe of them is the Butcher's Birds.

This game franchise is awesome, the only complaints I have are not enough missions, I would love to have even one more. My Uncle, who is in his 60's, plays video games all the time with my cousin, his son. He is about the worst video game player ever, and has horrible hand and eye coordination. Some of the complainers here remind me of him, he gets ****ed off and tells everyone the games suck, when we all know the opposite is true.

It is supposed to be hard, and sure, the game will exaggerate AI skills and abilities, but that technique has been used since the infancy of video games. The fun is overcoming the challenge, like Mike Tyson punchout. Remember when you got Nintendo and Mike Tyson Punch Out? Remember Macho Man? As well as Tyson himself? How long did it take you to beat those guys? I bet you were absolutely ecstatic about beating them the first time. Now if you had beat both of them on the first try, what would you feel then? Nothing, no big deal right?

Couldn't agree more with you comments regarding it being a challenging game and the comments regarding giving up too easy - a good game is one which challenges you to the point of impossible but still remains possible.

I personally love HoE particularly online - I have all PS3 trophies and top 20 on all stats in multiplayer

Do you play online much mate if so whats you PSN name - mines fordgrunt

I have also played the Janes sims and I play DCS Blackshark, and IL2..... but the Heroes Over Europe game has A serious BLACK SCREEN problem in campaign mode. It's all over the internet everywhere. The problem isn't confined to cheap machines, old machines, Sorry Guys, but it's in the game and UBI needs to fix it
I have been using computers since DOS.... that's before Windows for those who aren't aware, and I build my own machines. Pretending it doesn't exist or that some gamers are Morons and can't use the software will NOT Cure the problem. Please fix it UBI.... this looks like a descent game.
