from what i know, your right, most wars have maybe one day where you fight for every 10-20 where you dont fight (depending ofcourse where your stationed)
mostly its just sitting around, waiting for something to happen, or go on patrols and stuff where things dont happen. the thing is, if games were like that, no1 would play them, imagine having to drive through 5 hours of forrest in bf2 just to get to the fighting, then you die after 1 minute or so becouse your a noob and have to run all the way there again (sure, you could take a plane or a chopper, but it would still be atleast 30-60 minutes of flying for a few minutes of combat)
so... dont ever wish for a realistic war game

    Hmm, in the vest.. Nope!
In game you won't find any loose bullets, just mags and you won't have to fix all of that.
Which is the only way to solve it. (i think).
And if you put it in your vest, and never gets rid of it, wouldn't your vest become quite heavy then? And after 5 hours playing time, I think it would be kinda full of it too...
I still thinks the idea of just throwing it to the ground is the best.
And it can't be much work either.
Just take the grenade script but change the model to a magazine? Maby change some lines.
I dunno, I leave that to the pros.

And about that postus scriptus (PS) I agree that you probably change faster, BUT, not always. Sometimes you probably get kinda scared and quite sure you have to do something wrong once in a while.

I dunno, all of you seems to have fighting all of your lives and you ain't 14 i guess...

Well, then. thanks for posting and:

What I'm saying is that when you are fighting and you change mags, you stuff the old one down your smock. Then when you re-org yourself after a contact, you re-load your mags, and throw the empty ones away.
It would give the payer time to relax and think about what he's going to do next while he re-loads the mags.

And a quick glance by air would give him a chance to pan the next mission (time spent on recce is seldom wasted).

I love the idea of finding mags instead of loose rounds, if it could be properly executed. (mag-based loading works perfectly in SWAT 4) There should be a button for stripping the mag off a dropped weapon, or a dead merc.

The more I think about it, the more I aggree with britrb, having to reload mags in-game would be really cool. I hope they listen to you bro...

Another thing with mag changes (sorry, Theman550 said that mag changes are a tad too fast in most games. How about a learning curve type of thingy? Where at the beginning of the game, you are a bit slow, and towards the end of the game you are changing mags like a 20 year SAS instructor. You could even drop a mag if you get shot while changing it.

I know, I know me again

A reload learning curve would be a cool feature, but the devs would have to make a bunch of different loading animations to pull it off, because what usually slows down a bad reload is fumbling. (Although it would be funny to see one where you try to load your mag backwards)

Dropping your mag when shot is one of those things, like slowing down when hit in the leg: it makes perfect sense, but it sucks, it sucks so, so bad.

    Anyway...

How about the option to turn off the aiming reticle, so that you've got to bring your weapon up into iron-sights in order to be accurate at range. (STALKER did it, it was sweet)

    Back at'cha, bro.

    ...

So, no takers on the 'American Assault Rifle Identification Contest' eh? It reminds me of the FAL mixed with a really early AR15, but it doesn't look like any American rifle I'm aware of...

Ach. This has bugged me for a week...

Looks sweet, nice physics, try to keep same pace with Crysis and using Dx10. Love how you have to heal your self make it graphic blood yes blood. Show wounds to body and bleeding out. Show damage according to where your hit and over all no PORTS PC MAKE ONLY and if u want to make a Console version dont use same engine.

P.S. Please allow Creative X-FI Extreme Music and other of those cards to work and stuff so takes load of CPU and stuff.

I want to see the demo or the final release--you and I don't make the decesion as to what will be in the game. This is a forum about nothing--It is merely one long big waiting game and I don't have the time to sit here while Crysis is within reach. I will make comments when and after the official game is released--that's what a forum is for; communicating bugs, wants and desires.
