  1. #1
    Here are some ideas:
    1. Flamethrower
    2. Panzershreck
    3. Bayonets
    4. Shotgun
    5. Be able to pick up rubble (wood, metal rods,etc...) and hit Germans with it.
    6. German grenades
    7. Gewehr 41
    8. Rifle grenades
    9. They should put a bipod on the BAR, it would look better and be more accurate

All of those make perfect sense and I'm totally serious. There should be a punching attack for close quarters. Maybe they should include a fighting mode where an American and a German are interlocked in a fighting stance or rolling on the ground trying to beat eachother to death.

"Whoever hits this button the most wins"

If you have seen SPR (Saving Private Ryan), you should see when that Jewish guy was trying to kill that German soldier, and Upon was a tottaly ******* not trying to help his fellow soldier. My point is that when they were fighting to there death there. Just think how it was. There were to ways of winning that fight. 1: The German soldier dies. 2: The Jewish guy dies. Now put you in that situation. I would **** my pants. So it would just bring up nasty memoires of the war.
So I dont really like that idea. But why listen to me.

    No-Shotguns-period

    No-Flamethrowers-period

And BAR bipods were usually ditched, nobody liked them. Don't use it.

hmm, i think close combats a good idea, it might offend people but the game is about the war so why would someone who is going to be offended by a man dying in close combat go out and buy a WWII game i can understand you but it did happen, but if you stick with your squad then you would usually win the close combat anyway, and it would be hard to get into one of those sitiuations, two men roling on the floor trying to stab and hit eachoter to death

Since when does ubisoft decide? And since when is realism a priority? Authenticity and realism aren't much different from each other, but in games it does. The main goal was authenticity and if you chose, you lose; that's why some weapons, some opportunities have to be left out.
    cheers.

Paratroopers don't use shotguns (not in TOE)

Paratroopers don't use Flamethrowers (NEVER in TOE)

BAR bipods were not ditched as much in Europe. I bet you're thinking of the pacific. (allways in paratroopers TOE)
