hi guys, Iv got myself a copy of far cry 2(PC) but i have a problem, when installing secuROM says i need to download a patch and place it in the bin folder replacing the current executable. iv placed it in the bin folder but i dont realy know what an executable is! lol as im a novice pc gamer, so i dont know what to take out!
Could someone help me please......

I'm having the same problem. I've tried replacind a couple of different files with the patch but when I go to launch the game I just get a black screen that I can't escape from and have to reboot. I had to do the same type of patch with Crysis Warhead but when installing it replaced the exe file for me and it worked fine. This is very frustrating.

Having same prob but the link securrom sends me to is a patch for fallout3?

You did it right! Just run the game now. As long as you placed it in the bin folder you should be fine.

I think you have the vista black screen problem. Here is the fix: Fix
Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date as well.
