Ok, I just bought Farcry 2 second-hand from a flea market. It was my happiest purchase of the year, as I haven't much money. For some reason, I could never get Farcry 1 to work, and Farcry 2 started working perfectly in multiplayer. It is the most awesome game ever. There's no manual in my box, though, and I get the impression that's where my CD key is supposed to be. It installs and updates fine without it, but I can't play multiplayer with my ubisoft account without entering the CD key which I don't have, it seems. Is the CD key code stored somewhere on the disk? Recorded secretly in fine print, somewhere on the inner hard box or outer cardboard sleeve? Why can't they just print it on the disc? That last one isn't really an important question, unless it actually is printed on the disc. I'd really appreciate any help that could be offered towards finding the means to play this game in multiplayer, I need my CD key, and I get the impression that the last owner lost the manual. All that's inside the hard box is a slip telling me that I could win an Alienware Area 51. Fascinating as that is, I'm not finding my CD key on it. Was there a printed manual? Is that where the key goes? What should I do?

The CD key is written on a seperate manual indeed, something you should have checked before purchase.

Gotcha. Is there a way to receive a replacement key, or do I have to find a different version of the game with the key included?

you need a diff CD, the key is encoded into the software/disk

Is The CD Key Written On The CD Itself ?! Or Does It Have To Be Written on a game menu ( PAPER ) ! When i checked the CD it has small letters is that the key ! b/c i tried & failed !

Sorry elbmek but that is not so. The CD # for Farcry 2 is on the reverse side of the Manual bottom left hand corner tittled CD-Key.



You also do NOT need the CD key to play FC2 offline, but the very first time you try to play the game it will check with UBI then you can play FC2 until the cows come home and UBI will not bother you any more. Best to play the computer than to play online anyway as the computer doesn't wine like the humans online multiplayer. But then you will need the CD key to play multiplayer if your lucky as half the time UBI doesn't play fair and wont recognize you CD #.
