Ok, it's late. I'm tired. I'm listening to music very loud on my headphones, and I'm probably dizzy. Someone help me out.
Besides ladder matches where teams use voice communication, I see a big lack of teamwork in MP games. See, after the first 30 seconds everyone is just running every different direction trying to kill the enemy. Your "teammates" are just distractions. In RvS it's possible to win a game 1v5 or 1v6 fairly easily. You don't need teammates. They are just there to tk you with their frags.
In Counter-Strike, (God have mercy on my soul) I popped on a random server for a couple hours one day, and the teamwork is present and very noticable. I don't see how you could last long without teammates. But this could be due to the health meter, since you would need to hit everyone a lot more to get a kill. But, the game has a built in voice-com, so this helps a LOT if you have a mic.
Games that (I've played) that have and require a high level of teamwork:
Tribes/Tribes 2
Ghost Recon
Counter-Strike
Battlefield 1942
Opinions? Flames? Death threats for mentioning CS?

I agree with you Turtle. RvS is so much better with teamwork. I love making plans with teams. And the doing the in-game voice commands. It helps out alot in the end.

You know where real teamwork comes in besides Clan matches?
The Co-Op servers.
Only problem is... No one likes playing against the computer when they log on so everyone goes for "human vs. human" adversarial play instead.
But truly... I've just spectated some Co-Op Tango Hunt and Hostage matches and it really is cool to watch when people act like a real CT unit and strategically -- not running and gunning -- Take out the oposition around a target building, infiltrate the target building, secure a hostie and then get that hostie back to the extraction point without loosing any team members.
And these aren't Clan members either. They're just casual gamers who like playing the game the way the original R6 games were intended.

Teamwork makes this game so much more fun. If you can find a server with one good teammate to talk to and strategize with him it makes it so much funner. You may not get as many kills, but your team will win. The kills will be spaced out between you and your partner. It just makes the game so much more fun. Ive yet to join a clan yet for this game, but I suspect the teamwork increases. I think im gonna start looking for a good clan now. Co op does have ok teamwork though I must say.

yes I look for the servers that have great teamm play in them, once found I favorite that server. I try to remeber the players names and add them to my buddy llist so I can find them again another day. as for Voice coms, seems everyone has a different voice com, so it never seems to happen, now once though we had everyone that had TS2, but no server to use, I know there are some public TS servers out there, but they never are the same IP, well not a week later it seems, guess if one finds one before a game connects to it and then writes down the info, then that myght work. u should try CO-OP to see some teamworks.CO-OP is not easy as u think it is especially on elite setting eventhough we are fighting against the computer AI.

lol its very hard to find people who will work as a team in any game mode except clan members or friends. A true game that is SOLEY DEPENDANT on teamwork is AA:O, everyone has a vital role within the unit, with RvS its like every man for himself when it boils down to it sadly. We should organise like not so much a clan but tactical-minds meeting every week to play as a unit and what hav you

acually what ive seen, especially in co op modes, and in team survival, ive helped bring teams together, i dont know where ur gettin everyman for him self because teams do talk to each other, not just in quick voice chats but also type
to type you must have someone covering u and that takes team work
-
Some can't work in team .
Im on the list .
