Hi guys, i Don't know if this was ever asked before but is there gonna be a dvd release for POP 3 or will it be something like WW with the 3 (or more) cd's.

my guess is that it's going to be like ww's the 3 cds because you can burn a cd faster than a dvd so for production the faster the better for cost anyways.

Ubisoft should know that a MAXMIMUM number of users still have a CD-ROM drive so they should produce the game in cds only. Many of my friends (including me) didnt buy Splinter Cell Chaos Theory because of the fact that it was DVD only.

They should adopt the CD regular version and a DVD special edition It is after all the third and last episode of the SOT trilogy. I'd pay for it

i think the dvd will be released first( for PC)

you can get DVD rom for less then 30 bucks for god's sake!!!
Reach into your pockets for those few tens, run into nearest comp shop, and get the **** thing already. It's because of you (people that don’t own a simple DVD rom....when they easily can) that the most of the games get out on that wretched cd format

edit- And before someone tells me to calm down, how about you put in/out 6 cd repeatedly for LOTS of games you own, to install the thing. Not a pleasant experience.

The PC gamer is always on the cutting edge No but seriously, CD's are out, DVD's are in. Like the Empress said DVD drives don't cost that much now. They are more reliable, have faster drive speeds, and you can watch DVD movies on your comp. What else can you ask for? Plus only one installation disk so you can plop it in and come back later instead of sitting there waiting for the "Insert Disk * to continue installation" They said Longhorn is supposed to remedy this but I still want 1 disk instead 3 CD's. Again, a SE of the game in DVD format would work for me even if I have to pay more cash.

Maybe it's a hint for upgrade? I don't think DVD writers/readers are that horribly expensive anyways.
