H6 release v1.0 : how do I update to 1.1.1 ? | Forums

I'm currently running 1.0.31758, and I notice everyone keeps talking about 1.1.1. Uplay isn't auto updating me, and I bought the game in store so its disc based, so its not impluse/steam issues. I have tried googling and the only results that pop up is based on torrent sites, but no official source it seems? So any help would be appreciated, I'm hoping I will crash less and be able to play the game for more than 10mins at a time if I can update my game.

Run gu.exe - it's updater of the game, this file is in Heroes 6 folder.

Turn off your antivirus.

Try to download it manually from this link: http://static2.cdn.ubi.com/pat...6/hmm6_1.1_efigs.exe and copy this into game folder and run.

It will be only update to 1.1, after this (if this is succefully installed) run gu.exe again (if update to 1.1.1 will fail, download it from http://static2.cdn.ubi.com/pat...hmm6_1.1.1_efigs.exe and run) - I repeat, this you will do after you install update to 1.1.

Thanks for the help - gu still fails after turning AV off so will try the manual route.

Says that some files are corrupted and to try downloading again - never been through so much effort trying to patch a bloody game. Why are there no official links for this patch to be found on the main website, how did people find the links before o_0

Re-downloaded the file and still the same error message, AV is still off and I also did a full uninstall/reinstall of the game too. Still stuck on 1.03 and cannot update the stupid game, I've spent more time trying to get it to work than playing this buggy game.

I'm in the same boat with you man. I know how to turn off my AV and firewall, but I still can't run the damn update to 1.1
