Freedom is not free. Free men are not equal. Equal men are not free. Why do we always act as if we have forgotten this?

That's been around for a while, that style is called a tech station and is meant for people who change components a lot for testing and such. Dust is actually easier to clean off in one of these, just spray it with canned air every once in a while, beats opening a case that hasn't seen the light of day for years and finding 5 cats worth of dust bunnies, lol. I rather like this one:

"The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.[Europe], under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep. If once [the people] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, judges and governors shall all become wolves. " - Thomas Jefferson
Id be more concerned with beer spillage than anything else.....![]()
That's not too bad at all.
Another cooling solution, and probably the best one I have ever seen, defies belief as it is so simple, yet how many people would even think to do this or would consider doing it? Drop your rig into a large container (aquarium?)of cooking/vegetable oil. I don't have a link or any photos right now, but I have seen this and it virtually eliminates all heat.

If you're doing that, why bother having a case at all? A few years ago I worked part-time at a local computer shop. We had a "bench PC" that we used for testing components from customer's computers that needed service. There was no case, just all the parts laying on a static free mat!
I also remember a seeing a while back someone who decided to do a "case mod" by attaching his computer parts to a wall with velcro.

The drives, CD Rom and such, were outside the case as I recall. Those aren't a big heat source, with the exception of the HD. I can't remember how that was cooled.

A mate of mine does that, just has his components pinned to the noticeboard beside his desk.
Well, I guess it would be for those that do a lot of testing but not so much that they want to run their pc without expansion card support and such. Maybe it's just geek chic, lol, who knows.
As for the veg oil, you still have to cool the oil or it will eventually reach homeostasis.
