I'm having trouble with this mission as well. Doesn't help that the mission starts off with like a fifth of the red squares health missing before any planes show up at all. I've tried what the previous people had said about focusing on all the bombers around the red square but that doesn't seem to work either. This game is just riddled with bugs and glitches. I'm disappointed

Unfortunately, this mission is quite hard.

The key is to be very speedy with your kills and to use rockets exclusively - machineguns just take too much time. Don't concern yourself with accuracy too much, as there are plenty of targets to replenish your ammo and it's more important to take targets down fast rather than economically. The only exceptions to the rocket rule are parachutes, which can be taken down easier with the machineguns.

I'd advise you to leave the ground targets for last and focus on planes initially. I think it helps if you manage to destroy a few of the transporter planes before dropping parachutes, but it's not easy.

Last, but not least, use your wingmen to the maximum. Have Cowboy set on Attack at all times and order him to use his special ability in the instant it becomes available. Each use of this ability is sure to get you a few extra kills, so it really helps.

It is quite easy if you buy the Proximity Fuse Upgrade for your Rockets. With it, the rocket detonates even if you don't hit the target properly. The splash damage will take it out.

uhhh i don't know what's wrong but I have no problem beating it

Wierd, I got passed this one on the PC version first time, with only one restart when I didnt follow the planes at the start.

I've given up on the game because of this mission.

I've shot, literally every single plane out of the sky and begun working on the ground units and I STILL fail this mission.

There are no dive-bombers, no Stuka's and no Fighters left alive.

I've restarted the game three times and it still fails every single time.

WTF.

Just tried another 10 times.
WTF is the go with this? It's ridiculous.

I oneshot all the bombers with my rockets. I can clear the skies in no time.
I get to a point where I'm told something about rockets and ot keep my distance (I can't make out what they say exactly).

Then there are no planes and the health runs out and I fail...again.

What a waste of $90.

Alright guys i heres how to do, i had the same problem as you guys i tryed over 10 times but i figured it out and i just beat it. When you start go after the planes dropping the troops, get a couple. The guy on the radio is gonna say something about stopping their reinforcments, this is key. you need to fly immidiatly away from red square to the outside of the level and kill all the german troops moving toward red square as fast as possible. I basically flew in a big circle and knocked off all the german troops with rockets. Not stopping the reinforments makes you lose. Once they are dead knock off whats left and you should reach the check point. it may take a try or two buy you will get it. Again MAKE SURE YOU STOP THE GERMAN REINFORCMENTS!! it should go smooth.. hope this helps

First of all, check the radar to make sure that all bombers are indeed gone. Use Y and see if there are any red targets left.

Second, at the last part you get a message telling you to help the Katyusha rockets aim. What you are supposed to do is to select the tanks that are coming along the river and press X to have the Katyusha missiles fire on them. There is an interface that shows you the X button and a cooldown.

Please help!!!
I am currently on the red square mission and have done everything, There is nothing else to do yet im still flying around, waiting foe something to happen.
im not sure what is going on,am i missing something here or has it crashed.
