I have the Saitek ST290 Pro joystick.

    Mapped like this...

    Follow Camera - button 5
    Turn Left - slider up
    Turn Right - slider down
    Pitch up - button 13
    Pitch down - button 14
    Primary fire - button 1
    Secondary fire- button 2
    Closest threat- button 3
    Next objective- button 4
    Landing gear - button 6
Roll right - Z axis right
Roll left - Z axis left
    Speed up - button 15
    Slow down - button 16

the rest of the options on the list don't apply to my joystick as it only has 7 buttons. I know that some of the options seem odd, such as slider up/down for turning, but it makes the joystick work properly, so I went with it.

    hope this helps

    Helo

Thanks UbiRazz for the patch link. Haven't tried it myself yet - fingers crossed. It's good to at least get some info and the patch released. It confirms we've not been forgotten.

OH CRIPES - HOW BLOODY HARD IS IT TO GET THIS RIGHT UBI??????

Have installed both patches and guess what - joystick controls are still ****!

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. After patch 1.02 the joystick controls still won't match properly! When I try to set the turn L and R axis - which should obviously be the yaw - what does it recognise? THE DAMN SLIDER - Left = Up and Right = Down!!!!!!! And the slider won't turn the plane in the yaw axis in game mind you....

And the fun doesn't stop there! If I do set the Turn L and R as above to Slider (even though I've turned the yaw axis) it says it conflicts with the throttle which has a default of the slider up and down - and when I try to map the slider it says that it's BUTTON 17 !!!!!!!

And despite all these settings, the pitch up and down won't work in game despite the settings saying it should be right, the yaw left and right controls the throttle (despite the default turn L and R saying slider), and the damn slider might as well not be there cause it does nothing!!! FYI, my joystick config in windows and every other game is fine so I know that it's just crappy programming on the programming staff's behalf.

And it's now too late for me to return this flawed game to where I bought it.

UBI, IF YOU CAN'T GET IT RIGHT YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE RELEASED THE PATCH. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE BUYING A **** UBISOFT GAME - AND THE SOONER UBI GOES OUT OF BUSINESS THE BETTER OFF WE'LL ALL BE!

Blazing Angels (PC)patch v1.02 does not work with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. The following issues are present with this patch:

    1. Speed up/Slow Down function does not work with the Logitech speed slide. Any attempt to reset the speed function to this slide will lockup the Blazing Angels setting application.

    2. You have assigned the speed control to what should be the Logitech rudder control. When you twist the joystick to the left, the plane speeds up, when you twist the joystick to the right, the plane slows down. The is no rudder control at all.

    3. When attempting to assign a function to other Logitech Extreme 3D Pro buttons, your v1.02 patch will automatically assign the function to "Joystick Button 18". This joystick only has 12 buttons/keys.

good, thanks, but there still has work to be done!

    To UBI:

While the BA set up calls it buttons it is actually the throttle slider that does the job like it is supposed to do.
Set up refers to twist as a slider but the actual twist isa what is being mapped, when you twist the stick.
