Thread: Ubisoft Why change rainbowsix | Forums

  1. #1
I am a big fan of Rainbowsix and Black Arrow they are the best rainbow six games on xbox live even now people are still playing them 21/12/2006 4+ years since they came out. Why did ubioft change them Lockdown,Criticalhour suck and ubisoft knows that and now they did the same to vegas. All you got to do is remake the old rainbow and ba put them together in 1 game with the same maps and weapons and some new ones better graphics and get rid of the glitches and you got a winner

but then there would be no graphical improvement, which is all that is really needed.

and if you want to know why it changed? to appeal to a broader audience and thus increase profit. it's formulaic, take some from gears of war, some from brothers in arms, ghost recon advanced warrior, etc...then piece together but add gimmicks like rappelling and snake cam...then use the namesake to generate sales.

Chaos and destruction follows me wherever I go. I strive to be number one but who knows. Maybe I am good only cause. I take pride in killing all I can online in games like those. Good irl. Evil online. Both good and both are a dark side.

I disagree with this game being nothing like a Rainbow Six game and sucking. This game has the old Rainbow Six feel. If they balanced the weapons and fixed the glitches then this game would be the perfect addition. Gimmicks? Rappelling and snake cam? Those aren't gimmicks. They are both fully functional and help immerse you into the Rainbow Six universe. My only gripe about the actual game is that it needs remakes of the original PC games. And I guess a second gripe would be that there isn't 4 player split screen and 2 players per a game on system link. I play Live, but Live is nowhere as good as having a bunch of friends over.

Whenever you post you try so hard to use big words, but end up saying nothing. Regrettably, this isn't much deviation from the typical formula on here. Reasonnable question or statement + incoherent babble/overly-opinionated fare = forums that don't address issues at hand and a increasingly frustrated group of people who dont mind repelling or using the snakecam<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

how are those big words, first of all? and if you can derive meaning from what i've typed, then i've obviously said something. you have made reference to my dismissal of the snakecam and rappelling as gimmicks as well, so don't try and weasel your way out of this one.

MpPayn & germ1234.... Calm down guys, it's just a forum. Let's all play nice.

Personally I feel that UBISOFT has used the RB6 name to sell me an arcade shooter. Plain and Simple. While I enjoy the game I am playing, it is because I look at it like any other arcade shooter I might play. The issues is that I paid $60.00 for a Tactical Shooter, not an Arcade Shooter. On top of that, my genre of player (the guys who bought the old games and whose money helped make the RB6 name) are being left out in the cold by this dumbing down of the RB6 experience. Gone are the planning missions, the teamwork, and the ability to be tactical in a more realistic way. We now have a MP that is run and gun where you actually get penalized for setting up an ambush and waiting. I don't know about you, but the Drill SGT taught me that ambushes are a basic part of military operations. Not that I like to camp, so you can keep those comments to a minimum, but by adding a penalty for camping, they have pushed you into running and gunning. Thanks.
