Thread: AC:B/AC:R Multiplayer strategies | Forums

Hey there!

So this topic is about strategies, you can think of strategies and post them here and discuss about them, there are offensive strategies and defensive strategies. What strategy do you use in (for example) Wanted? Do you think that you found a good strategy to use in ... mode? Discuss!

Wanted strategy? Rage at the game then quit

I don't really have a Manhunt strategy; it varies depending on the type of players I'm against. If there are Morph groups, I aerial TV, if there are roofers, I throwing knife then go in for the kill. If there are a bunch of degenerate, cocky, loud-mouthed, rude, obnoxious, ***holes who think they play the best, I do whatever it takes to kill them (even if that means derping around to get a kill).

Going to have alot of fun with the Mine in Revelations Manhunt defense. Going to set one outside my hay bale and hide for a stun. Or, if I want to get a Lure, I'll throw one in front of a look-alike on the same bench as me, to fool him/her with either a stun or aerial lure in case he/she saw my mine and thought the look-alike was me.

Artifact Assault: Sprint Boost and Knives
Glad to see abilties that are hardly ever used be useful again.

It seems like this thread might need to be a little more narrowly focused. I could go on and on about my strategies, but without any specific topic to discuss, it would take forever to type.

Hmmmmm, tricky one. I would have to say...erm...that I...use my throwing knife strategy the most. Helps not only on roofers but on people who smoke then run.

Yeah, this thread should be more specific because there are just so many strategies to talk about. Anyway, here's my defensive strategy for manhunt.

>> Have RR Disguise and RR Decoy. Also Blender and Overall Cooldowns.

This happened recently, and is a good demonstration of my gameplay style:

>> Hide in a stationary group. When I see one of my pursuers walk through a chasebreaker, I use decoy.
>> He kills decoy, giving me 100pts. I then stun him for 200 pts.
>> I run off around a corner, to a bench with one person on it. I sit on it; blender transforms him into me. I then pop disguise and wait.
>> Soon that same pursuer comes around the corner. He's more cautious than I thought and doesn't go for the kill on the trap NPC I've set up. Instead he walks around at a wide angle, clearly waiting for me to pop mute or smoke bomb. I just stand up, walk over, and stun him for 200 pts.
>> I run away around a corner again and hide in a blend group.
>> Abandoning caution, he runs over to me and starts a chase. I use decoy again, but my pursuer gets really close so I just naked stun him. for 200pts
>> At that moment, my decoy gets aerial killed by another pursuer! 100pt lure.
>> As I go to stun the pursuer, he pops firecrackers. I run away in panic, blinded, only to be killed with the hidden gun when his contract is renewed.

That's a fairly lucky sequence giving me 800pts before losing with a 100pt death, but it's what I strive for generally. With more than one pursuer it gets tricky, and running is the best option usually. Then again when you're with teammates that helps too.

Wanted:

Start with Morph/Poison.

I find a blend group heading my way (towards my target), and Morph them. I then move on, slowly, but not caring too much where the group goes. If I'm lucky and have a fast-moving pursuer, this WILL get them to waste abilities and usually gives me a Lure. If the pursuer is more patient, and doesn't come close before I've left the Morphed group behind, I usually stay relatively close to at least one lookalike while moving towards my first target.

I prefer staying at ground level, but will climb and get an early rooftop kill - if possible, even if I have to drop to Discreet doing it, I WILL start with a Poison kill. On rooftops, I'll sometimes take Acrobatic or a Drop Kill if I suspect a rooftop target of having defensive abilities available.

I also quite often go for a stun if my first pursuer looks uncertain of the target. And I quite often rush in and get naked stuns on Edward Vision users who pop their ability close enough that I can get to them while they're waiting for it to kick in, and blinded stuns right after FC get dropped by someone I saw coming.

Once I've got that first kill, if it was Silent or Incognito, I'll try and get my 3-Silent streak if I can get away with it - usually I don't worry too much if I can't, but from there, I change depending on the lobby.

If it's roof-happy, I bring Smoke/Knives, otherwise Morph/Smoke. Either way, I focus on defense, and go for 3-Silent streaks as often as possible.

No matter what, I ALWAYS make sure I get at least one kill from a wall or beam or something - it's usually an Acrobatic/Focus, but sometimes people don't cooperate with the "Focus" part - if I haven't managed it any other way before the 2:00 mark, I'll tr for a Smoke/Focus.

It's very rare these days for me to get no streaks, but it's common that I'll only get one. I aim for 2 where possible, and occasionally get 3 (Had 4 a couple of times, but that's rare).

It's not the highest-scoring strategy, and this isn't how I go about getting my top scores (I average 4000 - 5000 points with these profiles), but I'm pretty much guaranteed of the win against most tactics I've seen countering it, and barring lag breaking the game, I never drop out of the podium finish any more.

Also, I've gone up against a fair number of Disguise/Poison players using this strategy (though not the top-tier ones yet), and while occasionally they'll outscore me if they don't run into me much, the ones who get me as a target routinely fail to catch/kill me - usually getting stunned or letting me run away when the stun isn't viable for some reason.

I find that strategy a little bit too easy, if you're playing against skilled players they will not fall for it but if you play with newbies yeah, they might fall for it xD

I thought of a strategy today but it's based on luck.

You're in a blend group with a look-a-like and you have like 2 or 3 pursuers, you're getting paranoid because the whispers are too loud, your look-a-like is about to leave the blend group if he does, pop Disguise. Why? Well if you're playing against people that know what they're doing they MIGHT fall for it, they will think that the look-a-like is you who left the blend group and the other NPC (you) was just a NPC that was transformed into you by the Blender perk. So they will actually think that your blender perk deactivated, don't give your pursuer enough time to think about it or else he will kill you, actually he might kill you without even noticing the NPC that left the blend group so it's based on luck.
