I had a computer monitor start making cracking noises than later it started smoking. That's wprst burning resisdue smell ever.

i just got a brand new monitor, 17" lcd.

How's the refresh rate on your LCD monitor. Typically they say that LCD monitors are not good for gaming because the refresh rate isn't as high as CRT monitors. Do you notice any difference?

kimi, in RvS i see a tiny bit of bluring around the edges of the people, but the size of this screen fitting onto my desk is SO worth it.

I see what you're saying about the size. If you were to get a 21" CRT, now THAT is a HUGE mofo!

I like to stick with 17" because it is big enough to see details, but not too big where it'll take time to scan the entire screen for quick responses in games.
