    I have URU prime installed in an "Until Uru" folder. I'm now trying to install URU CC and it says I have to uninstall my current version of URU first. (Using XP). How do I bypass this??

    Use WIndows Explorer to rename your current primary Program Files Uru folder to something else, then install CC. Don't forget to change the path for your current game-start icon to match what you rename the folder to.

    Thanks Heimdall! Still doesn't work...this is what I've done:
    Installed Uru Prime. Used Explorer to change folder from "Uru Ages Beyond Myst" to "Until Uru". Tried to install Uru CC. Wizard started and then this question popped up: "To install Myst Uru - Complete Chronicles you need to uninstall your previous version of Uru. If you don't uninstall Uru you will not be able to install Uru Complete Chronicles. Do you want to uninstall Uru?" I click no and the installation wizard terminates.

    So I went back to Explorer and moved the whole "Until Uru" folder to a new path: C:/Program Files/Ubi Soft/online version Uru/Until Uru
    and I deleted the now empty "Cyan Worlds" folder under Ubi Soft. I rebooted from a cold boot - but still get the same question. Tried to manually "run" both setup and setupURU from the CD but can't find a way to bypass the question...what am I missing?

    Well, sometimes if you can't beat 'em, you gotta join 'em.

    If you haven't already done so, read Uru: Saving and Backing Up Game Progress.

    Then do a clean-boot CC install as detailed under '3. Original Uru followed by PotS, or for both disks of CC]' in Uru: Clean Boot Install/Re-install With Win XP. Replace step 3.c with:

    -- c. Move the Until Uru folder set now in \Until Uru (C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\online version Uru\Until Uru) to C:\Old_Until_Uru, including the underlines. Don't have the words Ubi Soft or Cyan Worlds anywhere in the C:\Old_Until_Uru path. Delete *all* remaining Program Files Uru files and folders. Also delete the Program Files \Zero G Registry folder, if it exists.

    Let CC uninstall your previous version of Uru, if it wants to do so. It shouldn't even ask, though.

    If CC actually does uninstall what you moved to C:\Old_Until_Uru (unlikely!), re-install original Uru. Be certain to install to a different folder than the new CC installation! Then apply the Until Uru patch and copy your backed-up game progress folders to their correct locations in the Until Uru folder set. The net result will be separate Until Uru and CC folder sets, either of which is playable. (Don't forget to change both the 'Target:' and 'Start in:' paths as appropriate for each of the game-start icons.)

    Heimdall - I realize it's been awhile since the last bit of advice you gave me (above) but I just wanted to let you know I finally tried it and it worked just fine! Moved URU Prime to the directory as stated. Loaded CC and, although it said up front that it needed to uninstall the old version, I said OK and it didn't actually uninstall anything. Once CC was in, I moved Prime back and loaded the UU patch - all worked well. I even then moved both UU and CC to the "Old" directory and then reinstalled Prime complete with my progress to date (copied "sav" file into it). Then I moved CC and UU back to the Cyan Worlds directory and now all three versions work perfectly. Thanks again!

    For you Registry editors out there, this problem can be solved by deleting the following keys:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{69BA7792-853B-45A3-A29F-539C0D7A2A62}

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\Uru - Ages Beyond Myst
