Thread: Alarms? | Forums

Sam: "3 alarms and the mission is over?"
Lambert: "Of course not, this is no videogame Fisher."

How would an alarm system work in public areas? If there is even a alarm system...the only way for other guards to be alerted of Sam's presence is for they to see him fighting other guards or another radios in to his buddies. The only security measure I heard that will take place is that they will barricade the public area and call Third Echelon agents to take you down. They know your movements and how to take you down as they said.

I'm wondering how would they get to this stage. Any ideas for the ones that have something positive to say and contribute to the development of the game?

First step: A mysterious stranger is causing trouble- guards investigate.

second step A: you are recognized- third echelon is called in and depending on location will take various amounts of time

second step B: you are not recognized- guards take hostile action

third step: "the $#!% hits the fan" regardless of previous status you are now recognized- multiple units of TE come in within five minutes. Guards all recognize you on sight. Only chance to get out alive is to get the objective and make an escape before third echelon shows. (its possible to escape after but unbelievably hard)

Note: the alert carries over between various stages of the mission. It does not decrease.

It shouldnt go down anyways in the first place. When the police call in reports they say what the suspect was wearing and how he looked. So Sam would have to either change clothes or something to get the heat off of him. This is is if the game is going to be top-notch realistic.

For that to work Sam would have to carry a change of clothes in an already overstuffed bookbag. Plus he can go into a bathroom and really significantly change his appearance withut being noticed. (dont try to cut your own hair without a mirror. Scratch that dont try it at all lol.)

Sam could play "Pretty Pretty Princess" with some other cons in the women's bathroom.

Nothing said here sounds like the good ole splinter cell. But hey I can't change anything. I would just like the old system back, with smarter guards. <STRIKE>Oh yeah and you can use ocp on their radio</STRIKE> forgot you don't have gadgets. Well I don't even know now. Possibly they lock down all entrances/exits to prevent you from escaping and special force units are called in - like the ones from bathhouse in CT if you remember - and they try to take you out. Hopefully you are still able to sneak; I mean crouch, crawl, render unconscience, and be cautious. Hopefully you don't HAVE to use the crowd element to sneak.
