Thread: graphics error | Forums

    I read the system requirements, and I believe I qualify with the following;

    Win XP (Home)
    AMD Athlon 2600+ (2.08 GHz)
    512 MB SDRam
    120 GB Hard Drive
    NVidia GeForce 4 MX (Latest driver installed)
    Latest DirectX drivers (I believe)

    I've downloaded the demo, and every time I try and start it, I get the following error;

    Graphics adapter does not meet minimum requirements. Pixelshader 1.3 not supported

    What does this mean? I really want this game to work, as I've been a big fan of the series. I thought I would try the demo first to make sure it works.

    Thanks in advance,

    Brian

    NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti or better!
    ATI RADEON 9500 or better!

    You need to upgrade your graphics card.

    Yep, unfortunately, the MX cards are cut down economy cards, and what Nvidia cut out of the geforce4 MX chips is the very thing the game needs.
    They left off the programmable pixel and vertex shaders that DX9 uses.
    The Geforce minimum for the game, is the 4 TI, which was the top version of the 4 series.

    When you say you have both of those cards, do you mean in two separate computers, or do you mean you have tried both cards in the same computer.
    Could you post more details of your computer, if you could post a dxdiag it would help to track down your problem.

    have you made sure you are using the correct driver. have you made sure you removed the old driver before installing the new one. if you originaly had onboard graphics have you made sure it is disabled in the bios.
