Well I was thinking wouldn't it be great if you could transmit radio messages? So you could be on station and ask for the nearest convoy. So just call base and have them send out a plane to spot for you.

I dont belive the Luftwaffe ever really co-ordianted with Uboats in this way, also most of the atlantic convoys are well out of Luftwaffe range.
-Except for maybe the FW Condors, but they were quickly made redundant by increased allied air coverage, plus use of M.A.C'S and escort carriers.
Most of the intel supplied to U-boats was either - collected by other U-boats,
Tip-offs from agents (spies) in enemy territory and of course the code breakers / radio traffic inceptions
Hey was just reading somthing about a valuable convoy that was Russia bound and the Luftwaffe plus help from U-boats so it lost alot. The U-boats got some and Luftwaffe bombers got some.

i to think this wud be a gud idea for a radio; like to hear the sounds of other submarines and maybe if u were going to involve the luftwaffe u might wanna get like a map to co-ordinate with certain planes from the luftwaffe and pinpoint certain convoys tht u want people to attack- and great idea andypandy1996
