Thread: Assassin's Creed Revelations - Digital Exclusive Edition!!! | Forums

  1. #1
    Hey all,

Things seem bad for the gamers waiting for the PC version of the game... myself being one of them.

I personally am still not sure if there is a delay or not, mainly because there is a possibility of there being a delay differently for different parts of the world. For example for the US, 29th Nov or around Europe 2nd Dec.

I am not sure when the Digital Exclusive Edition was released... but it seems awesome. At similar prices to the Collectors Edition and Special edition, but exclusive to the PC platform only. It also differs from the other two editions by replacing the short embers video with capacity upgrades which I thought was only for the animus edition.

I was wondering about anyone elses views on this ^^

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>Which is exactly why this year's digital special edition sucks. I'd much rather have Embers than capacity upgrades that I'm not going to need.

Fair enough, I thought capacity upgrades would be more useful.

Then again I don't know if uplay is going to have those bonuses you get for playing the game as they did with the other AC games. Any news about this?

Also has anyone previously bought the pc download version from ubishop... because that is what this digital exclusive edition is. I am unsure how pc downloads work for game editions, for example what happens to the extras like the art book and soundtrack etc.

IF the soundtrack does come with the Digital edition, then it'll either be a seperate download that becomes available after you download the game, or it's installed in it's one folder for you to find.

As for the Art Book/Encyclopedia, I don't think the Digital Edition gets those, since the since the Digital Deluxe version of ACB didnt get a copy of the Codex.

And as far as the capacity upgrades go, we don't even know how much capacity the standard game will have (bomb wise), i know we can carry one bomb type at a time, but we don't know how many bombs at once.

And personally, I always thought that six bullets as the standard ammo cap for the gun was never enough, the upgrade of 10 for ACB was much better.

The contents of the Digital Exclusive Edition are as follows:

    DIGITAL EXCLUSIVE EDITION

    IN-GAME CONTENT
    • Explore the prison of legendary Vlad the Impaler, the scourge of Constantinople who inspired the myth of Dracula. Seek out the hanging cell of the infamous leader to retrieve his personal blade, a deadly close quarters dagger capable of dispatching any foe.
    • Capacity upgrades for your hidden gun bullets, bombs & crossbow arrows to give you a decisive advantage in battle.
    • Play as two additional multiplayer characters: The Crusader & a new Harlequin revamped with a Constantinople flavour: the Ottoman Jester
    • An Artbook featuring 50 pages of illustrations and concept art related to the game.
    • Original game soundtrack

    End

I agree capacity upgrades especially the bomb and bullet would certainly be useful. I am considering purchasing this edition over the collectors edition. However the fact that everything will be in the form of a download is a bit off putting .

If the game was a download but the buyer received the art book and soundtrack by post that would be awesome... However after reading posts it seems that is not the case.

Any news on whether uplay will be offering upgrades and extra's for assassin's creed revelations like they did for ACII and ACB.

Here I was thinking that everyone whined about how AC was getting too easy. But now looking to get more upgrades that make combat easier?
Anyway, if the upgrades are anything like in ACB. (I agree, 6 bullets were not enough at times, but we had the crossbow to accompany that. )
I'm totally looking forward to Embers as well, so the replacement of Embers with the upgrades is really disappointing. Of course, that could be just me, though. Anyway, I guess Embers too will pop up on YouTube after a while like Ubi decided to do with Lineage.

I don't think the upgrades make it easier... just saves time having to run to the blacksmith to restock, or having to always loot from bodies etc.

Also bad news gamestop.com have changed pc pre order date to 09/12/11.

Aaa well... gives me more time to solve my ordeal of choosing which edition to buy for preorder lol.

Yes it did. I have ACB Digital Deluxe Edition, bought it from gamersgate, and I can download the codex in a .pdf file :P

Man, I wanted Embers to be released with the Digital edition. But I can't find it anywhere on the US sites. Is this only for the UK so far?
