Played some Hawx 2 this morning (Windows 7 64-bit, Phenom II X3 720, Radeon 5770) and everything was working OK. Before each mission, there was usually some cutscene telling the story, then afterward I could see what plane/weapons I was going to be using for the mission.
Now, I don't see any of that, even if I replay a mission where I saw a cutscene before. What I see instead is a black screen with the words 'Loading Data...' on the bottom right. The screen stays up there indefinitely, the cutscene never plays nor do I see my plane. What I can do, however, is just hit 'Enter' after a while, and it puts me directly into the mission.
This is letting me progress through the game, but I'm missing out on a lot. Have tried reinstalling 3 times with no luck. Anyone run into this problem?

yes, when I was still able to run the game (I can't anymore due to some wierd bug) I stopped getting cutscenes after the 3th mission.

I think that's the same mission I last saw a cutscene on as well. Darn, looks like we might just have to wait for a patch.
EDIT: Well, for no reason that I can discern, the cutscenes are working again. I can also go back to past missions and watch the cutscenes. Very odd.

I have the same problem - 'loading data' for ever, after some time I can press enter and get into the mission - I like to know what the objectives are though!
Any solutions? At first I could watch the cutscenes, but now - not even one. Tried uninstalling/installing, but didn't help at all...

I think I may have discovered what made my cutscenes work. Keep in mind this was done on Windows 7, but the basic idea should be the same for other versions of Windows.
First, go to your Windows Firewall, then go to "Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall". Click "Change Settings" then look for "Tom Clancy's HAWX2" in the list of programs that shows up, on my list it appeared twice. There are two columns next to the program list, "Home/Work (Private)" and "Public", and the Private box should already be checked for the game, what you need to do is check the Public box as well. Save your settings then see if you can get cutscenes in the game.

windows vista does not have the two columns next to the program list.
i still cannot get the cut scense to work.
anyone else fixed it on windows vista or older OS?

Try disabling the Windows Firewall, just to see if that could be causing it. Just something to try if the columns for this aren't showing up. Re-enable it after you're finished with the game.

still dont work, black screen with Loading Data...

Same problem, can't get any of them to work.
Methods ive tried;
tried running dx11/dx9 exe's
changed resolution
Run as administrator
turned windows firewall/comodo firewall off
Restarted PC
Reinstalled game
Tried leaving the 'loading data...' for 10-15 minutes to see if it would eventually load
Specs:
Q6600 OC 2.8ghz
XFX HD 5770 1GB
3GB pc6400
windows ultimate 32bit
Ive gotta say the game without a storyline is really poor. Maybe ubisoft should of spent less time on the drm and more time on finishing the game. Im guessing the DRM is what took the extra 6 weeks after console release.
