Hello fellas.

I've been waiting for AC2 to drop for almost a year and the time has come eventually! I'm in Hong Kong and plan to let my friend in UK buy AC2 black editon for me. Expensive but it's worth it IMO, I'm longing for those three bonus missions and all other goodies.

But here's what I'm worrying about. Black Editon is sold only in UK and AUS, so is it possible that I couldn't play the game on my XBox 360 console(HongKong version)? It would be misery if I paid a whole lotta money, making all the efforts only to get a game that I couldn't even play. Is the black edition region free or is it only compatible with XBox 360 Eruopean version?

the black edition is only region free on the PS3 I believe, I have a 360 and evryone ket saying that to play it on the 360, u would have to mod ur 360 to seem like the UK version for it to work, like how Americans modded their PS2's to play the Japanese version of KH2 and therfore have it earlier. It's sad but that's the way the world is today I suppose

It's not just in the UK, it's in all of Europe.

And as far as I'm aware, there are only a few games in total for the xbox360 that aren't region locked, and I don't think AC2 will be joining them.

also also the dlc maps might not work cuz those things only work in the country they come from i think
but don't get angry if i'm wrong. just saying cuz it might be right

the only thing you will probably be ok for is the extra's DVD since UK and HK are both region 2 DVD's, but as for the actual game as said above most likely your console will reject the disc due to it not being a release from your region

even if it is in the minority of games for the 360 that are region free chances are you wont be able to get the extra map's as they will only be available to the Euro market place. (or depending how picky MS is could even be locked to the UK market place, I know Sony do their store by country but not sure about MS)
