    Question

    Rocksmith site says:

Introducing the next stage in the evolution of the guitar game. Rocksmith™, the first and only game where you can plug ANY real guitar into your PC/MAC, Xbox 360® or PlayStation®3 system, and actually learn while you play.
    .

Now I would read that as meaning I can install it on a Mac....
But I dont see a Mac option when purchasing.
So I am I right in thinking this will only run on a Mac running XP or whatever in Bootcamp.
Now, thats OK but I think it should be made clearer to start with.
Anyone from Ubisoft willing to comment?

yes I know, so why does the Rocksmith web site say "plug any real guitar into your pc/mac" ... its misleading.
surely it should be "plug any real guitar into your pc/mac* (* - Mac will require Bootcamp and a valid Windows install) or whatever...

BootCamp and VMware fusion is not an option on a MacBook

I bought RockSmith as it said PC/Mac on the disc case advertised.

The one that arrived mail order said PC DVD-ROM. Everyone denies a Mac product existing although it was printed on the front of the product and I sent them a screen shot of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried BootCamp and VMWare fusion version 5 with windows 7 to use it but the internal graphic card of a MacBook Pro 2012 model is not suitable for high definition gaming and it iust kept crashing.

I wasted, days and days on technical support and apparently even if I bought a new graphics card unscrewed the back of the MacBook and installed it it would "probably" still not work

Did you install the latest support package for Bootcamp? My Mac Pro is from 2008 and it runs Rocksmith fine.

Before you totally give up try looking around these forums. I know there are people running RS with bootcamp or something else. I don't know about macs but I'm sure it's working for people.
