Hello everyone! As you can see, I'm new around here, but I've already read the forum a couple of times now and then, throughout the years.
Anyway, my name is Manuel (in case you know my brother, known here as Kshaya_Daeva and dark_prince_2_3, send me a PM, or something, and I'll tell you why he won't be showing up anymore), I'm from Portugal and I'm 19.

I am, of course, a POP fan (since I was 15) and I can't get enough of it.
I have noticed a certain division between fans and I "warn" you that although I love the SOT saga, I am enamoured with POP 2008.
Don't get me wrong, but I said my "goodbye" to the SOT Prince and his "universe" and I welcomed the new one with open arms.
To me, POP 2008 is almost poetic. The artistic direction is incredible and breath taking and the soundtrack... inspiring!
The combat system (which reminds me a lot of fencing, a sport I play) is very good and so are the acrobatic sequences. I love the fact that Zoroastrianism was chosen as inspiration to the plot, too!
    Therefore, I can't wait for a sequel.
And, as a PC gamer, I hate the fact that the DLC was not made available to us.

    So... I guess that's it. ^^

P.S- no spoilers about TFS, please.

Yeah it wasn't released here, too bad, I overcame this already. Expect some day soon someone to tell you to watch it on Youtube </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

    Hi!
And I though I was the only POP fan in the whole country!

I've had games ruined because of Youtube's temptation, POP 2008 included. This time I won't let it happen - I want to say my definite (hopefully and sadly) goodbye to the SOT Prince with honour.

    Welcome

PoP08 definitelly was a great game, even though it lacked the charm of the previous installments. And their replayability. The platforming and artistic direction were a step forward for the franchise though. I think that UBI should devote their attention to this game and keep improving the formula (swap the broken fighting system for instance), rather than keep beating the dead horse (which is precisely what they've done with the forgotten sands). Now to find out who's got their filthy hands on my copy so that I can play it again...

As a PS3 gamer, I thoroughly regretted buying the PC version. twice. First when I found out about the CE selling at exactly the same price, second when the Epilogue was announced.

    Thank you! ^^

As for the replayability, I have to agree with you, but only partially, because I have replayed the game about 5 times and, currently, I'm playing a 6th time. Sure, the SOT trilogy had that "je ne sais quois" that made it a little better, but the whole tragedy of 2008 moves me every time.
I enjoy catching all the Light Seeds, btw.

As for the combat... a few more moves would be nice, but I think it's more realistic and artistic. I would like to see a few more enemies, but to me, the combat ought to remain one on one.

I share your passion for PoP but not for PoP 08
