When deploying riflemen, before they start to leave the helicopter, tell them where you want them to go. For example:
Unit 3 move to Alpha. Or simply press "A" (if xbox) 2 times at the place you want them to go.

the thing to remember is to move your unit thing on the bottom over to highlight the incoming troops right after you issue the deploy order. Once you do this, you will see the "Deep Strike" option come up for you with an option to press a button to issue the deep strike. You need to have 6 CP remaining after you spend the 4(2) to deploy the rifleman unit to begin with. You can move your target around and deep strike anywhere on the map you can see from the unit with the current camera.
