New rig for CoD? | Forums

Hi,
For the last year I’ve been saving some money to build a new rig. The main purpose of this computer will be to play Cliff of Dover.
This is the configuration I'm thinking of:

Micro intel core I7 2600 8Mb LGA 1155 sandy bridge
Motherboard ASUS P8Z68 - Pro
Memory DDR3 4GB 1333 kingston 1x4
Video card GIGABYTE ATI HD6870 1024 MB PCIE

This configuration is under mi actual budget and I even could spend another $200-$300 dollars.
What would you recommend me?
A different configuration?
A different video card more RAM?
To wait a little longer for a new hardware to appear?

I would definitely get more RAM, it's cheap as chips these days (see what I did there ) and CoD loves it, I'd get 8 or even 16GB. Also see if you can find a model of that video card with more than 1GB of VRAM, CoD likes that too.

Bearing in mind there is always something better "around the corner" and you can easily never buy a computer waiting for the latest and greatest ...

... the Core i7-3930K may be worth a look see when it finally ships (rumored release date January 2012).
