Thread: Rainbow Six is in development at Ubisoft Montréal ! | Forums

  1. #1
Ubisoft has created a (little bit funny) video series called "When You Become", it opens to us Ubisoft Montréal development studio doors.

The first episode which has been out in september showed us the development team of Assassin's Creed.

The second episode is online since 3 days and shows us a Motion Capture session where we can see a french actor playing an action scene.

We can also see in that video Brent George which is responsable of Avatar's video game (which is bad from critics rating). He says clearly that he is the Lead Game Designer of RAINBOW SIX.

So now, it's official, Rainbow Six is comming out at Ubisoft Montréal.

Here is the video link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30jQcNQXi-U

That's JUST what we need, a bunch of idiots who think they're funny working on the next R6 game...

If they looked at that video they made & actually thought that they
were funny, then what in the world do they see as being a good game?
I hope, for our sakes, that they've been listening to gamer complaints
& hopes for the next installments of R6 games, because left to their own
devices... well... you saw the video right?

We don't blame you, not after what they did to the series.

saying "I'm the lead designer for rainbow six" is not the same as saying I'm working on the next rainbow six. I don't think the video confirms anything!

Nothing has to be "confirmed." We already know
that Rainbow Six isn't dead for the simple fact that
Ubisoft said themselves... "Rainbow Six is not dead."
I know some Beyond Good & Evil fans that would kill to
hear Ubi say something like that.

& if the LD for R6 was working on something else
he'd probably call himself the "___" for that
    "something else."

As for confirming the "if" & "when" of R6,
Ubi will be as tight-lipped as always. The
simple facts that there is a R6 team in Ubi
Montreal & that Ubi felt like even bothering
to say anything about the future of Rainbow Six
should be signs enough that R6 isn't 3 years away.

I mean, come on, when does Ubisoft ever say anything...
ever...? I think we all know what we need to:

There will be another R6. Just don't hold on to 60 bucks
expecting to buy it in February.

Im actually glad to see a new face running things. We might not get the R6 of before but atleast we will possibly get a good game. I would like to see them actually care about R6 instead of pushing it out the door. Im on PS3 so theres always a chance that they will get even more lazy and just cut the PS3 version like Splinter Cell, and they say that they care about their fans. Good thing Conviction wasnt worth fussing over.

As long as the former devs of the Vegas series are left ruining the SC series further in Toronto, I'm happy with anyone other than them doing R6 in Montreal.
I have the fifth freedom... so watch out, here I come

Sorry.. they dropped the ball on Vegas 2 big time and they do not deserve any consumer loyalty at this point. I had the well know gun fire sound loop that rendered the game unplayable. I sent them an email just a few days ago to see if it was ever fixed. After a few useless responses, thier latest email says.."it is a known issue under investigation by our developers" The game has been out just about three years now! So, is this a royal brush off or not?! I do not appreciate being given a bold face lie and a co. that does not take it's responsibilities seriously.
