Hi Kingsub, welcome to Ubi SH forums

This might fix your problem. Open the SilentHunterIII folder, then Data/Movies/Intro. Delete or rename the 2 files located it there (Intro and Logo). Start SH3 again, you will notice the opening movies are gone, but you should be able to access the Main Menu.

You are looking in the My Documents folder. That is where the saved games go.

I suppose you installed SH3 in the default location. So open My Computer and follow this path. C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/SilentHunterIII/Data/Movies/Intro.

The issue may be with the video card. What kind of video card are you using?

Does your version (1.4.0.1) show up before you patch it? If it does, you should not apply the patch (1.4b). Some recent copies of SH3 are already patched.

Also, do not "repair" SH3, it is recommended to do a full re-install. Make sure you delete the Data folder from the main game folder in the Program Files/Ubisoft folder before re-installing. If your version shows up as 1.0.0.0(you can find out by right clicking the Sh3.exe and selecting Properties), then apply the 1.4b patch ONLY.

    Hi kingsub,

please post a DxDiag protocol. It shows the components of your computer and the codeces and drivers installed.

    START > run > "dxdiag" > enter

Do the graphics and sound tests (work through the tabs) and save the information.

    Post the complete protocol here!

What version of Windows Media Player do you run?
(open the player - click "?" - check "Info")
