As many of you know, I had a helluva time getting SHIV to work, and have been put-off from really getting into it...Well, that changed last night..!! After several sessions in the Training section, I tackled the Convoy option.....

So there I was, surrounded by any number of targets, and being one myself..!! Don't know how I did it, but after getting my tail chased several times, and diving deep to come up at another place...Even taking some depth charges, I managed to do a little damage myself....
To the tune of 26,351 tons of metal sent to rest, including two escorts and three merchants...!!!! And I still had 3 torps left when the smoke cleared...!!! Gotta love that..!!!
I got some screen shots of the action but don't know how to go about posting them ....

Again I want to thank Yooperb & Tambour and many others who pitched in to help me get to this point....

Mr Yamamoto & crew better be on the lookout...There's a new cowboy in town...and he's hungry..!!!

    Edit - Got pics now..!!

    On patrol...before the action begins...

    First of two destroyers....

    A merchant bites the waves...

Another merchant on its way down...This one went down like a rock...Barely had time to get its picture taken..

    The remains...

The map showing where each went to its watery grave...

Wow, you're a noob and already you're sinking Jap destroyers? You're far ahead of where I was when I first started. <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Mr Yamamoto & crew better be on the lookout...There's a new cowboy in town...and he's hungry..!!! </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Yes, it appears that you're well on your way to becoming the scourge of the IJN.

Go get'em, tiger. Some nice screenies you've got there. Don't forget to enter the SHIV Screenshot Comps when you've a mind to.

Glad to have to have you join the game.

Just noobie's luck....Forgot to mention...Two of the three merchants got it with stern shots...They were crossing each other in opposite directions right next to each other, and I was heading the "wrong" way so I shot'em with the "wrong" end....

Nice pictures nohunt1. Good size. I would say you should think about starting a career. At the beginning of the war things are a bit slow so it isn't as bad getting started as you might think.
Just remember that when you do start a career to go to the options in the Office when your there. The options for a career are separate from the regular game. You can get to the options by going to the radio on the left hand side of the office on top of the book shelf.

Yooperb...I've thought of that, but think I'll hold off just a bit 'till I get a few more missions under my belt. Don't want to be back swabbing decks....
