Hi, this game has been working fine for me until chapter 5, now i keep getting a Direct3DEngineError every 30 seconds, just like the other post a while back... my specs are:

AMD athlon x2 4400 dual core 2.2ghz
atix200(real awful but not source of problem i doubt)
1 gig ram

I have set the paging file size to 4096 mb on min and max, and have done everything so far I've seen, but the problem still will not fix, can anyone help me out?

I have similar specs (Albeit with an X800xt) and I get the same error amongst the others. It's doubtful that it's your card.

sorry (for myself) about returning to these forums when vowed I would not but,

a) patch 1.02 has indeed solved most of my probs - very few crashed until...

b) level 8 - now I'm starting to get sporadically the same direct x errors and memory read errors as before notwithstanding the huge page file, +mat add on to the .exe and a superlatively defragmented harddrive etc etc...

its GOT to be something to do with textures and fragmentation of memory - because at Level 5 there's a few big texture scenes and at Level 8 at the necromancer's lair the textures are BIG time...

Marco - any chance of a patch 1.03 for single player...?

Are you joking? There MUST come come a patch ... min one ...

The Game is still a Beta version ... tons of people have problems ...

I dont want to spend 45? for nothing.
