S3 error on ME | Forums

I am also having a problem with S3 Gold Edition but mine is causing an 'error in unknown'.
I am using Win ME with 256MB Ram many Gigs of hard drive space and a 64MB Connect ATI 7000 video card. I tried installing the 1.60 patch but still no difference.
Any help would be gratefully received

The game needs to be patched with the 1.60.I suggest you then patch it with the XP patch.You can get this from the Mapbase,then Patches at XP Patch

I should have mentioned in my original posting that I had done that as well. Still no joy. Still 'error caused in unknown'.

Just a thought,I said patch it to 1.06 have you done that ?????

If so then uninstall S3 and install it but dont patch it with the 1.60,as gold has it already on the disc.
If still a problem try the XP patch.Hope this helps,if not come back and I will ask for answers to help you
