securom problem game won't load at all | Forums

First of all hello 0/

i have just been out and bought a retail copy of rainbowsix vegas.

i've installed the game no problem on my computer it updated it self with the latest patch.

now when i try to start the game i get an error message saying

a required security module cannot be activated.
this program cannot be executed(6000)



I followed the link and it said to search for a spyware program called interceptor. I did this and found nothing on my computer. I have run a full virus scan,spyware scan and defragged the pc but it still won't work and I keep getting the same meassage.


my system specs are

amd3500
1536mb ram
geforce 7600gs graphics card
any help on this would be good guys

Have you tried updating the firmware on your DVD Drive? You can usually go to the manufactor's website and find a firmware upgrade.
