Submarine takes forever to get to location | Forums

I just got the game and ive looked everywher ein the book to see if you can speed up the submarine movement. I'm in a career mode and i need to go 5,000 nautical miles to reach location. In the past 4 hrs ive gone 300 NM.. Is there any way to like fast forward the game or something?? If i knew the game would take this long to play i woulda never bought it...

time compression buttons....+ and - on your number pad or also lower right of your screen just below captains log.

I would say that if he went 300 miles in 4 hours he has found time compression. The key is to crank it up to about 8000 or so. Just keep tapping the + key till it wont go any faster.

going up to a certain speed like 5000+ the game slows to a crawl and the time compression basically becomes worthless. the game would start lagging behind real time

It just seems that way because the frame rate slows. I got all the way from solomons to HI in almost no time at the highest speed. The only thing I don't care for is that after going above 4000 or so, the squares for contacts get realy big and ugly when you hover your mouse over them. Just another one of this games many bugs.
