Ike Turner is ranked higher than Eddie Van Halen?! And Tony Iommi and Neil Young and Robbie freakin' Robertson!?

    Ho-ly cow!

Hammett made 11?! Woo hoo!... Not too sure about that, but I'm glad to see it.

James Hetfield however is one of the best rhythm guitar players of all time. And should be on there. Does the fact he can't sing hurt his chances of being included in a guitar list, 'cause it shouldn't.

Gordie Johnson from Big Sugar? Nothin'... But then again, not alot of people have heard Big Sugar.

NO BOB DYLAN!? The man practicly changed the way the guitar was played! HE WAS THE ONE WHO DARED TO PLUG IT IN!

No Jeff Hanneman or Kerry King?! Slayer invented a guitar sound all their own with that super fast riffing style and hellish squeals that EVERYBODY in metal has mimiced at least once. Does Slayer's lack of commercial popularity mean their guitar players can't play guitar? They're like the third or fourth most influential metal band of all time, for pete's sake (behind Sabbath, Metallica and perhaps G'N R).

Speaking G'N R, no Slash. But I understand that, he sucks.

I could go on and on, but I'll close with Rolling Stone is not to music lists what the AFI is to movie lists. Stick to supplying Hunter Thompson with hotel rooms and booze, you whacko, half-shot publication!

Oh, and P.S.: Nobody, and I mean NOBODY rocked the only three chords he knew like Johnny Ramone! The guy turned his taste for simplicity into the music we now know as punk rock... yah can't slight him for that.

Edit: No George Thorogood neither... Man. No Dave Mustaine...

EDITING AGAIN BECAUSE THERE'S NO ALEX LIFESON EITHER!!!!

    Ok, I'm done now...

Any best guitar players list that doesn't have Paco de Lucia on is a joke.

    Nuff said.

Jesus, what a joke. No Al DiMeola, no Joe Pass, no Andres Segovia, no Steve Vai, no Steve Morse, no Joe Satriani, no Django Reinhardt, no Steve Stevens? They put Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac, but not Lindsey Buckingham? LB can play RINGS around Peter.

They clearly got confused and mixed in great writers that played guitar as well. Kurt Cobain was a horrible guitarist. Tony Iommi? A great guitarist? Jesu Christu. Both of these guys were good writers that penned some of the most memorable songs of our time, but accomplished guitarists they were not.

Bah. Rolling Stone just spit in our faces here.
