Played around with some mice with different hardware polling rates the other day. With the same DPI settings the higher polling mice provided much smoother tracking and accuracy.
    125/sec vs. 500/sec was noticeable.
125/sec vs. 1000/sec was night and day.
500/sec vs. 1000/sec was not much difference except at 2000+ DPI.

Anyone else notice this or edit there polling rates for there flight equipment ?

Hmm, I'm aware of the effects of this on mice but it never occurred to me to try this on other input devices. I think I'll try this on my joysticks as well as trackir.
"The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.[Europe], under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep. If once [the people] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, judges and governors shall all become wolves. " - Thomas Jefferson
