Sorry to bug you again Mando86, but what size monitor do you happen have (native resolution)?
And, going back to your screens, it looks like there are white caps on the waves after all. Those are the first shots I've seen that actually had them.![]()

20 inch TFT widescreen and it's normally set on 1152x864.
I see some jagged egdes on them shots but nothing like what was posted over at subsim, makes me wonder about an email I got a few days ago in my spam account.
WELL DONE Mando86 !you are the very first person I have heard of who has come across the Great Yamato BB...or indeed as in your case 2 of them !
Your post wasnt clear, you were too excited I guess LOL...did you get a shot off at her ??
Either way, great subbing there mate !
The first person on this forum to sink the Yamato (all 71,000 tons of her)plus photo evidence will be famous I suppose lol![]()

There are only two kinds of ships. Submarines and Targets.
Yes I did sink it I can proudly say, even though I am not an expert SH3 like many here. Here are the screenies I had. I had been shadowing both battle ships for a while and I was losing them but then they change course NW and both battleships just ran straight across my periscope path. I fired 4 into the first passing one and 3 into the second one. Here id the second's damage caused. The first one just exploded in a ball of flame and it was all over before I could say "Ship Sunk", must have got lucky and hit a magazine bunker. The second floated for a part a while but I guess those three huge holes in her hull was too much for her and she went beneath the waves. I completely forgot to post what happened and that's the reason I came over here.

Man, that would have been one hell of a history fluke - the Yamato and the Musashi, sunk by the same sub!
They give out Presidential unit citations for that sort of thing, you know.
Yeah I think the whole Japan Navy was out for a stroll.![]()
I'm sitting here at my computer looking at these screenies of yours, Mando86 and wishing my copy of SHIV gets here quickly. Its supposed to arrive sometime today and it's taking FOREVER!!! Great pics and thanks for sharing.
