Anyway, I may be mistaken, but I think this is a portable helicopter drone that can recon and attack targets.

I am not sure it we are looking at the same guy, but I don't think he is carrying that chopper, it looks more like an AT rocket or a portable SAM. But I could be wrong, I don't even know if I am looking at the right person, where in the picture is the person you are looking at?

I see what both of you are saying. Both of your theories could be right. Then again, he could be carrying a portable chimmney on his back. Don't make too much of pre-rendered screenshots that are made 1 year before the game comes out.

It's the latest in miltech, launch a flying chimeny at the enemy and then "smoke them out"

And SKyraptor you're right it does look like the helicopter drone in FFOW

its an american firescout! Just watch future weapons. I dont know which episode but its in there. Its already in prototype form

I can see how you would think so because they do look similar, however if you looked at the link I originally posted, you'd see that this helicopter drone is meant to be carried by a soldier on his back when it's not deployed. THe Fire Scout drone is way too big to be able to compact itself into a backpack that a single soldier could carry unlike this drone that I'm talking about.

This is why I mentioned the guy in the concept art photo because it looks like he's carrying a contraption that unfolds into a helo drone. Just check out the link and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I do agree, I saw the same episode of future weapons, and although similar the firescout is much bigger.
