Thread: Vet Units | Forums

As we all know there will be veteran units as our soldiers gain exp. through battles. We also have been told that once a soldier is dead he is gone.
I was playing a Total War pc game today, and i noticed that you can "retrain" units on it.
Since De Plater worked for SEGA i was wondering if maybe you were to lose five of your ten veteran units and u could retrain them into a full group.
what are your thoughts on this?

Well my uncle just got back from working with EA, and i thought he would give me a scoop or something, but that dam buttcr@ck wont tell me nuthing except the units will be refitted, which gives alot of room to think

In my expert view on RTS , meaning total war, you dont put a unit oof veterans, you start with a unit, fight with them, they'll take casualties and gain exp. If your unit is for example 50 strong, and eventually has 20 vets (40% of the unit), and has casualties, depending on how many casualties exp and number of vets, the futre exp for the unit comes up.

Since this game is not going to involve thousands upon thousands up to 10,000 units like in total war games, the system might change, from unit experience as a whole to individual experience, I duno, what I do know is that if exp is based on fighting, then if heavy casualties take place, exp will be lost.

yeha I was making a point thank you falcon. But for ye general hood. I ment 10000 troops all together, not from just one side, usually my army in RTW goes from 2000 to 5000 men, that all depends how much I been fighting with the army.

But on the other hand, YES 10,000 troops, or... ten-thousand troops, at one time on screen fighting each other.

If ya watch the video at the beginning of the game, thats an ingame video, if ya replicate the numbers in custom battle they add up to 12,000 at one time fighting on screen.

This is from an battle int he game, and every single of those untis fought at once in the river crossing.

If ya never seen it so many units at once fightin in RTW check what videocard you got first, maybe the problem is there.
