Thread: Convictions Reworkings.... | Forums

So Ubi mentioned a much better visual direction, and since there isnt much else to talk about till probably E3, what do you think that means?... one thing i was disappointed in with the ubidays demonstration was the graphics, the character models were pretty dull to me and the environment was decent looking but not stunning like the first SC was and SC:CT... do you guys think they improved the character models to a Killzone 2 level or a Crysis level... i thought CT had amazing character models at the time especially Sam's but Conviction looked a little dull to me. I mean there wasn't much improvement to my eyes character model wise and no wow factor that i think is part of the SC series... what do you think visually they are improving?

I think visually Conviction will look amazing. Anything weve seen was from years back so i wouldnt think much of it. Its all about gameplay and concepts really. Looking forward to see any updates in the next couple of months.

First of all technology has improved over the last few years... secondly... we're talking a pre-alpha build of the game, designed to display the game's new mechanics... it wasn't meant to be really goodlooking in the first place.

Really, if there's one thing I'm not worried about it's the graphical appeal of this game
It is vital for any game I buy that I can play it. However, my internet connection is fast-but-unstable, so Ubisoft is not getting a penny.

This signature is an I'm-sorry note to the developers, who might be deserving of my money. I hope you guys

Exactly, it's common practice with all devs/pubs.

Games are mostly about the glitz and glamor these days and not about gameplay. You're lucky if you can get at least five-six quality titles in a single year. I have faith in UBI regarding this game.

I'm genuinely worried about Conviction's graphics, I have a bad feeling that they'll just be good enough. Which is unacceptable, SCs always push the generations limits.

This time it will be different. They pushed the limits in terms of the stealth aspects of graphics. Now it is in day-light it will be more of the blend thing in Assassins Creed. Although im 100% sure there will be a mission during the night, Just wont be the same as previous games.
