Thread: Enemy Submarines, that dont die | Forums

I snuck into one of the Japanese harbors and there was an enemy submarine parked there. The special one with the airplane launcher on it, I was overjoyed for the kill to come. I put six torpedoes into to it and it sank to the bottom without being "destroyed." Anyone know why?

In the original game the Japanese submarines were modeled but that was all. The one you attacked was the I-400. The submarines do nothing but sit there. Thanks to the modders the Japanese submarines have some life, but you'll nedd to install one the super-mods like TMO.

BTW, welcome to the SHIV Forums.

Oh contraire! I hit one at port with a torpedo and the explosion blew it up about 20 meters into the air spinning it around at least a dozen times before landing and splashing down on the other side of the dock, undamaged.

I did that to a plane that was docked at a base. I was able to lock onto it with a torpedo so I fired at it. When it hit, the plane bobbed down into the water for a moment and then sky-rocketed up and flipped God knows how many times before landing on the other side of the base, right-side up, and simply floated backwards until it hit the shore. I did get credit for it though!
