Thread: Press Average Poll Time! | Forums

The moment is upon us at last! Just a couple more days until Red Steel 2, and probably a bajillion reviews on monday...so it's time to guess what the press average will end up being! I'm betting on a solid 8.9 average-people like IGN usual mark a little higher, with things like Ngamer going a little lower...IGN will likely go with a 9.1 or a 9.0.

Only goes down to 7.5 because I'm fairly certain the game will do better than that.
    Guess away!

8.5 to 8.9 is my guess. Though I could see it getting 90 or higher average cause it's just awesome.

this game could be higher, but few places would give that kind of credit to it. so im going to say this game will be awesome, and get a 9's for it, but fall short of 10 by something like "sword slashes arent 1:1"

but thats being optimistic, i would not be surprised if at least a few places gave it a 7.0

I know it wont be a perfect game because it has such a niche audience.

swordfighting games aren't a niche audience I think. Look at how much the first RS1 sold. Plus I'm sure WIi Sports Resort probably could have created a further market for swordfighting games with it's swordfighting minigames

Western mixed with Samurai game with guns and swords, I would call that a niche market lol.

What I mean is, guys who do shooters tend to do war games of sort and prefer online options because they dont feel validated unless someone is watching.

The sword fighting is only a niche market because your only option is a katana. I am certain that the support might broaden if the melee options were a bit more diverse; I would have liked trying a rapier or claymore.

yea, sushi westerns are not new, and are often popular, this game is not niche, its got broad appeal, the only trouble is with casual people who dont want to play a "hardcore" game, and "hardcore" people who dont want to play a "causal" game

because all wii games are casual to them.
