8.0 Graphics
Solid unit designs and animations. I like the way the environments fall apart. If only it ran better.

7.0 Sound
Credible battle sounds and nice music but the voice work is poor.

6.5 Gameplay
The action is definitely exciting but compromised by too much management and poor AI.

7.5 Lasting Appeal
As long as you don't mind the management problems, there are loads of lengthy battles and some attractive multiplayer options.

"Finally, the sound in Faces of War leaves a bit to be desired. While the sound effects and dramatic score definitely help add some substance to the action, the voice work just horrible. The accents are inconsistent and there are frequent and obvious errors in the text and dialogue. Next time hire an English-speaking proofreader. "

AI can be more than poor or more than great, unfortunately, we usually land with the former most of the time... AI can be plain awesome if you play multiplayer and disband a squad, it is REALLY cool to watch them advance, simply awesome. Unfortunately, AI should be more capable of using tricky grenade tosses, like plucking it on the back of an engine. (I love this, 1 grenade and the tank goes BOOM)

IGN is my favorite too ...

in IGN reviewers words "Released right around the same time as THQ's Company of Heroes, Faces of War suffers from the worst case of bad timing since Abraham Lincoln decided to wait until intermission to get some popcorn."

B+ - "People compare this game to Company of Heroes very often. Both games are very well done, but Faces of War wins out for me because of the focus on your soldiers and depth to the game compared to COH."

He is a true reviewer.

ps. I stopped playing coh because its gameplay is too repetitive, boring, simplistic, and unchallenging. It has no depth that fow has.
