Come on ubisoft, wakey wakey, a lot of people are having issues with your game and installing it on Windows 7, could you please get your 'experts' on the case and try and find some difinitive answers...don't say it's a Microsoft Problem, because in a few months time you are going to release SH5, which in line with all other releases with have issues and you will expect the forum members here to try and find solutions to those problems.

So as a show of 'good faith' come in and throw in your opinions to address this issue...maybe patch 1.5 is already in the making????

I called ubisoft, I was told they will not make a patch for silent hunter 3 to play on windows OS 7, because the game is ro old for them to bother with... pretty sad indeed,, I wont play an online game only... and I paid for every silent hunter that came out,, I buy from amazon.com, and they take refunds back...I bought silent hunter 5, and to my horror, it was ONLINE ONLY....I returned the open game to amazon and got a full purchase price back....online gamming should be an option, not a must for game play, besides the box did not clearly state it was online only,, it was itty bitty fine print on the back..most people will buy a true copy of a game versus a pirated game, so its ubisoft loss in revenue for a few bad apples, as they alienate themselves to fewer, and fewer people, that will play online only...sorry for mispelling

I didn't do any DirectX patch. No change to resolutions in main.cfg either.

i have been trying for 2 weeks to get my copy of sh3 to work on my new hp laptop with windows 7.
have tried all the patches,but the only one that will load is the dvd 1.4b patch.
system says that the game is compatably and meets all the requirements. but when i try and play, i get a protection error message.
now,one thing i notice is that there is a key code inside the box. but at no time does the installation process ask me to type in the code.
i am not the best computer wiz, so i may be fumbling the fixes posted on this forum. so any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is rld-sh14.rar? Where I can find it? İt looks everbody were found that?!

I will going to be a mad! My game says only reboot again and again and again... I was done parts all of them (Installation steps in this posts) but i cannot find rld-zgde bla bla to finish steps

i seem to have a slightly different problem. I cannot access the manual no ****on but the play seems to work, have not tried uninstall as yet. this would not be a problem as the game plays ,but now here I sit in the East China Sea, 0 torpedos, 2 aa shells left, 4 deck gun shells, 1 armor piercing, 3 he. about 1/3 of a tank of fuel, and it tells me to keep patroling. Not even sure I can make it back to Pearl Harbor now. As stated before I cannot check the manual to find out for myself so, am I doing something wrong or is it the game messing up? if it makes any difference I have the Gold Edition.
