I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but when you play player matches your rank goes up. i thought the whole idea of player matches was that your rank didn't matter.

Your ranking isnt a reflection of TrueSkill, which is the difference between the two(player/ranked)The leaderboards track trueskill and rank you based on only ranked games. ranking is kinda irrelevant other than unlocking custom armour and camo's. keep it ital bro<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

they should remove trueskill its so ******ed..the people that should be at the top of the leaderboards should be the people with highest kill/death ratio or something....<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

For some reason i thought that's what it WAS based on..I'm second guessing that notion now..but as i recall TrueSkill is a direct result of your kills/deaths..<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I said it confusingly in my first post i was referring to ranking as your Class like sergeant, private etc.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

They have to allow you to rank up in player matches. Ranked matches don't allow you to play with friends. And personally, ranked blows in this game. I could care less about the "tru skill" or whatever. IMO, the host has way too much control over ranked matches...so why bother.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

As pointed out, your PEC rank has nothing to do with your rank on the leaderboards, which is gained through playing ranked matches.

The point of TruSkill is to compare your "skill" against other players and in theory, games with matchmaking will put you in rooms with similar skilled players, like the Halo 2 system does.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The only time I ever play ranked is when I want to get in a game of Team Sharpshooter. Always in the lobby, and no 10 min waits.
