Hmm, there is 1374 players registered in Technical beta world.
    It is a large number.
We know many of them dont play, many dont read the forum, many dont post.
But if 1/10 post it is 137 players who post on the forum - one post in 10 days - it should give 13 post per day
So why the number of new post per day is so low? sometimes it is 1-2 posts.

I think that the game is so boring and not entertaining that people just dont want to post bcs this post will change nothing.
It is impossible that 100 active people dont write on the forum, dont share their experiences with the game, dont brainstorm and discuss what should be done - it is like it was not BETA but some dull web game only to pass time like those we can find on many web pages - play 15 minutes and forget.

If the game cant make people to talk about it, if it cant make people to feel emotions... this game is dead before the beta is finished. I really consider stop playing it bcs now it is a waste of time - I was so happy when I first hear about it, I red every word from Yaiden on the main forum and finally I am in the beta and after 4 months I am really disappointed. The game is unbalanced (I know this is beta) The game have rules that dont encourage players to interact with each other. The game limits active players and punish them for they well played game. So what is good in this game? I think that only one is good - it is its title and legend of Heroes of Might and Magic. This will lure new people to try it but they expectations will be fast put into trash. This will be an even faster end to this game.

I really hope that devs see and analyze all what is happening and all what should be happening if game was good but it just dont happen. I really wish that well thought changes are implemented bcs I still believe it can be good game but this believe is weaker and weaker each day.

I dont expect that this post will be on top of discussion for a long time - but wait - one of the most important topics about ballancing spells is forgotten .... this is what will happen with this game if nothing change.

If I am hard core gamer of HoMM series and hard core player of Travian and say those words - sth must be wrong.

Due to in game message system the situation in game may be slightly better than forum. Only reason to post in forum is when your alliance members cannot answer your questions, you have a brilliant idea that you want to show everyone or you are damn ****ed on the game and want to let the developers to know it.

Nevertheless i agree that the game is lacking much. Most importantly dynamics i'd say. IMO developing towns, settling new ones and even capturing them should be easier in mid and late game. Towns changing owners should be a common event. And for a medium level player even losing a well-leveled town should no be a disaster, but something which is reversible with good play. Additionally there should be a better way to fight for neutral ground and disturb alien settlers. Oh, and minor adjustments in spells and unit balances...
Why am i forced to have an "U" as a screen name? I'd like to sue someone.

Not every player posts in the private forum (see myself for example) but at the contrary we are active players who report bugs when they find one

I think the game is too slow paced to encourage discussions, drama and all the other nice things that come with having to do alot to keep your empire running. I see the main reason for that in some of the restrictions the game has. City limit, no army movement at night and the lack of alliance related actions and buildings are to blame imo. But maybe that'll get better one day.
Although I'm sure some people also find the forum itself annoying, as it can be tricky to reach. Took me over a month to get it working properly (with a little trick, first click on the link to the public forums, let it load and then click on the private forum link - that way you don't have to log in again).

What i feel is really missing it a simple way to have an overview of everything going around you. You'll never know an allie is getting pillaged unless he send you an email. You'll never know a big war is going on not far from you unless you zoom out and take your (long) time to scroll around.
And an easier way to see who own the cities on the map should be great, rather than having to tooltiping each cities

This aint an FPS, its a slow strategy. It is not supposed to be exciting.
My main problem with it is its like a watered down version of HoMM games (btw 4th one was dreadful). They took out the 2 things that wer most fun - manual hero movement/exploration and manual combats. I understand that due to the nature of MMO we can't have manual combat (and all the strategy that was involved), so i am looking forward to region buildings you can visit (and hopefully ability to send heroes to friendly towns).
I will most likely play this when it goes gold (due to the fact that its easily accessible from anywhere and only requires 5-10 min at a time). But i do not see how this will make money. There is not enough to warrant payment. I'll keep to the free bits, and i suspect so will most people. Worst part, the problem lies in the game concept, not some particular mechanics, so can't be fixed

    The problems i see:

-give the players something to do (town limit reached then its over)
-give the players a reason to fight PvP (why should i attack a enemy when i know i loose more than i can get?
-and plz not soooo much Goldregions. When i watch Reikuko region they have everywhere Goldregions(2 Goldmines) around their citys.
-Goldregions should be very rare... and this could be one reason for someone to do a PvP fight.
-And this **** chat system ... ok its beta. But plz chat to all members Button. This Mail to 10 players only is very ****.

and btw. our alliance started with 20 Members and at the moment we have 12 of this "old" members active.
Thats 60% ... thats not bad.

Use the mailing list for sending messages to your whole alliance. Works like a charm - just remember to uncheck the box again when you write a message to someone else after that.
I agree with the other points you made completely.

I think these points are the most important.

Saving money for tears and grails can't be the solution to that.

And the message-thing is also a good point.
I believe what is absolutely needed is an ingame forum for alliances where an alliance can organize and discuss stuff.
In addition to that I have very positive experience with an IRC-server für the game. It doesn't have to be exclusive for the game, but something like an official channel for all players + maybe a support channel and the posibillity for alliances to create their own channels can be a very, very good thing to a browser game. On a chat server the players can get to know each other better and will have more reasons to stick to the game.
