No new solution except downloading and put manually maps in the right folder?
It seems not to be a very hard problem. FC2 is well working in windows seven except this download problem...

any plp to from unisoft can response this question? looks like it is right for win 7, if you don't have solution, can you tell us how to dl maps and manually put in the right place? like cod4 does?

There is a fanmade fix, that seem to work for most, if you want it, check the link in the poster above me. (Top of page that comes up there is another link, click it and there is your fix)

NADA HAVER ! eu to usando WIN XP e também não consigo baixar os mapas no jogo ! da o mesmo erro, quero meus 100,00 REAIS devolta ! comprei original pra jogar online e tem problemas ! o pirata era por hamachi e não tinha esses problemas ! QUEREMOS A SOLUÇÃO !!

I repeat the fix here:
1 Go to Windows/SystemWOW64
2 COPY the winhttp.dll file
3 PASTE it into the Far Cry 2/bin folder

This is the solution. I was unable to play online due to punkbuster problems which i had to sort by downloading a program and adding the game twice in different locations then i had this mad dl problem which was fixed by the steps above. Quick and easy solution to a very annoying problem. Windows 7 is extreamly problematic when it comes to playing online.
