Internet Explorer 7.0 is also out, has many of the same features as Firefox. Tabbed browsing, anti-phishing measures, etc. I use Firefox at home, but at the office they mostly use IE.

I'll have to check out the new Firefox later.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

looks a little different. i think the changes in looks have been made with Vista in mind, so it doesnt looks streets better than the 1.5 version. but some other changes have been positive. another step forward.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've been using the beta version for about a month now & I must say, it's a huge improvement. It may not seem like it at first, but my dad's been running the older version on his computer, so I've had to go back a few times & it's almost painful.

I mostly love the built in spell check & the better handling of tabs (button on each one to close it, drop down menu when you have too many open).

    Highly recommended.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Some of the bundled features I already enjoyed via add-ons, so I have yet to notice much of a functional difference.

For those with extensions who dread upgrade hassles: while you still run Firefox 1.x, download and install the MR Tech Local Install add-on. One of its options is a check-box titled "Override 'MaxVersion' compatibility checking," which, self-explanatorily, saves users the trouble of manually editing .xpi files in order to reconcile older versions of some add-ons with new versions of Firefox.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Keep in mind it is multi-OS. I've installed it on a first generation eMac G4 and the theme is identical. The new theme suits the Microsoft Energy Blue theme great if you have it, though.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Hmm... that's interesting. For me, the process was: 1)go to 'Apple dropdown menu'; 2)select 'update software'; 3)enjoy updated application
