Thread: Map Improvements for SC100 | Forums

  1. #1
well after a bunch of threads of nonsense about sigs, lets get back on track with the important issues.....

so, i figure UBI is waiting for SC4 to release another patch called the new SvM. As was the case with CT i think they will carry over some maps to the next installment or in reality the next patch. Which maps do you think they will carry over, imo since they picked warehouse and deftech from pt, they will likely pick missle and aquarius for the next installment.

Now onto the topic, if they were to release the maps from CT into SC4 what should they change to make it a "NEW EDITION".

i.e. Station - the removal of the first fence or at least make it shorter. This will allow a fighting chance if stuck alone with a sniper outside. It will also allow you to play with noob players that don't realize what a coop move is.

    2. Missle - add a drop off point on the other side of section 2 and one on top of the platform, it will open the bottom up from a minefield and mt ***** heaven.

    3. Orphanage - Remove the outside motion sensors, really what was the point with that anyway, or at least make it the last row of trees

    4. Rivermall - REMOVE THE CAMNET TRIXSY

    ......anyone else?

I like missle strike. I don't see any problem with it, Sector 2 a choke point you say? A lot of maps have a choke point, it's not that big of a deal.

As much as I love missle, sector 2 is a huge chokepoint. Against good mercs you'll have a hell of time getting past them (either if they guard pick-up, or drop-off). Sure it's possible, but nothing should have that high a percentage of failure.

Rush is often the only thing you can do in Sector 2 ..

One with a sticky cam guarding the corridor, He puts them down, get the disc and drop it.

Yea...A little bit too obvious don't you think ?

Moreover, most of the players camp down...If they don't, they have gasmask, emf and the almighty "night motion-track vision".

Of course it is possible to win.But it is also possible to win at the lottery.

Personally I'd like to get rid of extraction and bombing objectives in the old pt maps, and bring back all the old maps from pt and ct while their at it.

hmmm i dun see a problem with sec2.....sometimes i can easily pass through, sometimes a single merc can hold my team up....doesnt depend on the opponent, the same team sometimes can hold the sec with no problems and sometimes wont even arrive downstairs as sec3 is unlocked....

You never played against good players then...

Of course against newbs, that's easy.

But go play good players and come back here...

Most of the time when I play against an even team than me and my mate, fight ends in sector 2 for both teams. It's not funny to play a map when you already have the knowledge of what will happens.

    not exactly true mate.

one little mistake and sector two can be cleared before the mercs get to the drop off point. Even a good team can mess up once in a while. but i agree sector two is a *tuffy* sometimes.

I hope to see some of the cool maps like factory and orphanage. who knows maybe they will even include some of the user made maps that have made it into a good rotation, oilrig maybe. the one feature i do want to see returned is the ability to change the hack times (handicap like we could in PT.

But you are relying on the mercs messing up. That means to win you're planning on something out of your control. not excatly a great idea.
