I was reading in the knife that a guy said that a head pops because of how its pressurized, I know this, I have read my Tom Clancys books, and when I play the game I expect something like this to happen, can't Ubisoft include a different setting for mature players and youngsters. Lets say I have a kid, when he loads his game it goes to regular setting, when I load my game I enter a Password and my settings are set to mature where heads pop, blood is all over the place, you shoot a guy in the arm and he actually grabs it while blood flows on the groud. And one more thing... to make the game more realistic I think we should make the enemies move and talk a little bit differently, like they only talk when they are in groups, how about making them huming, wistling, or singing softly, and how about have them not see you when you shoot from a dark spot, make them confused or start yelling for help instead of spoting you in the middle of a pitch black room without having night vision.
More ideas?

well when games have the parental lock they tend to get the rating M and ubi would have to remarket the whole thing again .. i doubt ubi is going to spent millions more just to build a whole new market base

I'm right there with ya, Cat. But I think the rating thing is right on, so perhaps all we can hope for is better hiding in shadows like you mentioned-most times, they not only see you, but TRACK you if you move locations... Occaisionally, you can flank them while they're still firing at your old location, but I've found that to be quite rare (perhaps I only have a chance to test it in the scripted sequences and for some reason they ALWAYS know where you are in those!!!).

Personally, I think the game is very artistic and stealthy...and I think exploding heads, albeit more realistic, would be kind of tacky considering its nature. I think just the little spurt of antigravity blood is pretty in some kind of way...it fits the rest of the game. I can find plenty of other games with truckloads of gore...I like the SC isn't like that.
I do agree with you on the character realism, though. When you shoot from somewhere, generally getting shot is going to disorient you, so I doubt you'd be able to trace where it came from in a dark room unless it was right next to you. Although it's true that once your guard goes up, you a little bit more aware of your surroundings.
(sorry about the double post...I wish I could delete this one >.<

i would like a bit more gore, but it proposes a problem, what about hiding the body there would be blood everywhere and the gaurds would easyly see it
-
then that whould be one more reason to choose the non-leathal method of disposing guards
-
Well what if a kid buys the game first and goes directly to the gore settings?
Plus....what harm will it do em?
GTA is not ubiquitious like SC.
Games can be pretty gratuitiously gory these days. Theres no reason why UBI couldnt do it though.
